Diamond Asbestos Services
We are a UKATA-trained, fully insured asbestos removal company based in Deptford, South East London. We carry out non-licensed asbestos work for residential and commercial clients across London, operating under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
We are honest about what we do and what we do not do. The materials we remove — cement sheeting, Artex, floor tiles, soffits, flue pipes — are the ones most homeowners encounter. For materials that legally require an HSE licence, we refer you to a licensed contractor rather than take on work outside our scope.

Our qualifications and compliance
UKATA Training
All operatives are trained to UKATA (UK Asbestos Training Association) standard. UKATA is the industry body for asbestos training in the UK. Training records are available on request.
UKAS-Accredited Laboratory Analysis
Samples collected during surveys are analysed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory. UKAS accreditation is the UK's national standard for testing and calibration laboratories.
CAR 2012 Compliant
All work is carried out in compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, the primary UK legislation governing asbestos work. We maintain all required documentation.
Fully Insured
We carry public liability insurance. Proof of insurance is available on request before any work begins.
Licensed Waste Disposal
All asbestos waste is transported by a licensed carrier and disposed of at a permitted facility. Consignment notes are provided as proof of lawful disposal.
Non-Licensed Specialists
We specialise in non-licensed asbestos work as defined by CAR 2012 — the category covering most domestic asbestos. Materials that legally require an HSE licence are referred to a licensed contractor. We are transparent about this distinction.

Why we are honest about what we cannot do
The most common call we get from homeowners is some version of the same thing: they have found something, they are not sure what it is, and they want it gone. The instinct is understandable. But the most important thing we do on a first visit is not start removing — it is identify the material correctly, because the material determines whether we are the right people for the job.

For materials that legally require an HSE licence — sprayed coatings, asbestos insulating board, lagging on pipes and boilers — we do not take the job. We tell you what it is, we refer you to a licensed contractor, and we do not pretend otherwise to win the work.
That distinction matters more than it might seem. A contractor who takes on licensed work without the licence is not just breaking the law — they are doing it without the training, the equipment, and the oversight that the licence requires. We have seen the results of that. It is why we are straightforward about our scope from the first conversation, and why we would rather lose a job than take one we should not.
